This work is accompanied by the invoice from Robert Martinet to Charles-Auguste Girard dated October 4, 1944. Charles-Auguste Girard was an important Paris dealer between 1926 and 1960, presenting artists such as Albert Marquet, Moïse Kisling, André Derain and Maurice de Vlaminck. During the Second World War, he took refuge in Algeria with Albert and Marcelle Marquet.
